Migraine headaches affect millions of people on a daily basis. Females are affected twice as often as males and headaches usually begin around the onset of puberty. The category of headaches is typically broken down into to subcategories: Migraine headaches accompanied by an aura (Classical Migraine), and those without an aura (Common Migraines). Common migraines constitute the overall majority of migraine sufferers with about 80% of the cases whereas classical migraine sufferers make up the minority with about 20% of the cases.

The neck, also referred to as the “cervical spine”, is in charge of many very important tasks. It supports the entire weight of your head (which averages about twelve pounds), it allows you to move your head in a wide range of directions, and provides you with flexibility. It is precisely because of these functions and the location of the neck, that it can be quite prone to pain and injury. If for any reason a person begins to experience neck pain, daily activities begin to suffer, as does the overall quality of life.

Epicondylitits is not just caused by tennis and golf. This can be caused by any kind of activity that needs repetitive gripping of objects. When there is an elbow pain that starts on the lateral or outer side of the elbow, it is known as tennis elbow. This takes place when there is an irritation of the tendons of the forearm muscles at the point where they are connected to the bony protuberance at the elbow joint which is known as Lateral Epicondyle. The technical term of this condition is known as Lateral Epicondylitis which means the inflammation of the epicondyle. Carpenters, plumbers, mechanics, office workers, bowlers and cashiers are examples of other people who may suffer from Tennis Elboow.

Unfortunately, after the effect of the drug wears off, then you get to experience the same splitting headache that you had before you took the medication. Sometimes you wonder whether there is a way to completely fix this problem totally, instead of just relying on these short-term drugs. Chiropractic care involves the manipulation of spinal subluxation (when one or more of the bones of your spine move out of position and create pressure on your nerves). Because the spine protects the spinal cord, which feeds your nervous system, which in turns control all the functions of your body, it is very important to keep your spine properly align so it can protect the vulnerable spinal cord. Chiropractic care has been proven effective and for many years, people have favored the use of this scientific healing technique. Although there are controversies about it, today, both medical practitioners and chiropractors are working together to provide comprehensive care for people’s health problems.

Most people may not realize that a misaligned spine can be the source of many other physical ailments that may seem unrelated. Believe it or not, anything from suspected allergies to frequent recurring colds can be caused by subluxations (a dislocation of spinal bones, causing pressure on neighboring spinal nerves, thus causing pain or discomfort).

Chiropractors will perform a diagnosis on patients who suffer with problems with their locomotor system and will develop a treatment therapy to solve the effects that these problems have on the general health as well as on the brain function of the patients. Their main focus is on the spine and the treatments they offer will be for spinal health and safety.
