There are so many benefits to herbal remedies that you may not be aware of them all. Having more control over treatment options is something many people desire. There is plenty of information on other options due to the continuing mistrust of traditional medicine. Modern medicine does have value in certain situations. Our intent isn’t to encourage you to choose one option over the other. Our intent is to share the benefits offered by herbal treatments.

Stress is an escalating problem within our current society. It is really not possible to overdo the benefits of massage therapy in dealing with stress. Because everyones’ lifestyles become ever more busy, the long-term effects of stress, e.g. severe headaches, pressure, muscle aches, as well as ever-present pain are mounting. Receiving frequent massages will help to alleviate these conditions and will likely also prevent them from getting worse.

An enlarged awareness of all benefits of massage have prompted more people to explore the Shiatsu massage chair. In the past people may well only obtain the advantages of a massage by means of leaving their home. At present that is no longer the situation.

The early Chinese medical experts discovered and improved upon acupuncture for various physical problems. Acupuncture was observed for the first time in Europe only a few 100’s of years in recent history. It took until around the twenty first century before acupuncture gained popular appeal in the US and various other countries. The situation now is that a lot of scientific exploration has been carried out. In the US, it is common to see certified acupuncture practitioners, as well as qualified Chinese doctors of traditional Chinese medicine offering their services.

Have you been diagnosed with Fibromyalgia and still don’t understand where the causes of your symptoms came from? Were you just put on antidepressants or anti-inflammatory drugs? Fibromyalgia did not emerge in the medical literature until the late 20th century and to this day does not have clear diagnostic criteria. In 1990 the American College of Rheumatology published their criteria for the classification of Fibromyalgia Syndrome (FMS). These criteria consist of only two parts: (1) chronic, widespread pain that has been present for three months, and (2) pain elicited by palpation of specific tender points, more specifically 11 of 18 predetermined sites. Today FMS include chronic pain, specific tender points, fatigue, irritable bowel, headache, cold sensitivity, atypical patterns of sensation, exercise intolerance, anxiety, depression, dysmenorrhea, bruxism, and other symptoms associated with increased nervous system activity.

If someone you love or you are a “worry-wart”, reading the rest of this article may prevent several deadly diseases and add years to your life. Allow me to explain. Why some people are healthy and others get sick has been a researched and heavily debated topic for a long, long time. Some give almost all the credit to genes. Basically you are pre-programmed at birth. Mother nature has dealt you a certain “hand” and that’s it. You will either be healthy, or sick, and there is nothing much you can do about it.

Whether you work in an office or on a farm, we are all susceptible to the effects of stress. There are too many factors which can contribute to stress, but what is common is its resulting tension that resides in the body. When tension builds in the body it results in stiffness, tightness and pain in the muscles. A convenient way to ease these sore muscles is with a health massage chair.

It seems that in these modern times that stress is just part of the landscape. We seem to be under more pressure whether at home or a work. The major shift of stress seems to be from physical stress to mental stress. Our fore fathers were in much more under stress from physical dangers. We on the other hand, seem to be under much more mental stress. We react to both mental or physical stress in much the same way: the fight or flight reaction. Our source of stress has certainly changed, but not our reaction to it.
