The second misconception we have chosen to address is related to arthritis, a clinical diagnosis that affects about 40 million people in the United States. Not surprisingly, this number is estimated to increase in the coming years. As you may know, arthritis can manifest itself in a number of different forms and affects many different people, both young and old, but especially the overweight and inactive. Understand, however, that just because you have been diagnosed with arthritis, does not automatically mean you live with back pain.
