<p>Before you start criticizing Jack LaLanne&#8217;s ideas as somewhat naive or off-base, consider that there are many good physiological and biochemical explanations for the exercises, diet and healthy living ideas Jack presents. Jack LaLanne was a pioneer in both nutrition and exercise. He was telling us even in the l950&#8217;s to avoid white flour, white sugar and refined carbohydrates. Decades ago, Jack was getting into some of the most important ways to influence aging, namely by eating fruits and vegetables and exercising.</p>
<p>In Jack La Lanne&#8217;s &#8220;Live Young Forever,&#8221; he made a point to stress the importance of good posture. Jack noticed the typical posture in a crowd of people, especially teens and young adults. Jack had seen there is far too much poor posture in the public at large. Jack felt that an erect posture expresses an alertness, a strength of purpose, and a good will. <p>It has already been a tradition where the need to remove lower back pain can be managed by increasing core strength and to make the tight muscles more flexible. That way, the spine can be stabilized and the muscle imbalances can be corrected.</p>
<p>The muscles situated between the hips and shoulders should also be involved in the exercise since they are included among the core muscles. When there is muscle imbalance such as when the back thigh tends to be weaker than the front, the spinal column will have a disproportionate pull on the thigh.</p>
<p>Instead of just doing the regular sit-ups and crunches, increasing the strength of the core muscles can also be achieved through effective deep breathing exercises. These breathing techniques can involve the muscles in the diaphragm where they can provide enough support to the spinal column. Through its assistance, a person&#8217;s lower back can be supported when he or she is running or walking.</p>
<p>You can also strengthen the core muscles through bridge lift and tummy tuck. By performing the tummy tuck, it helps the abdominal muscles to stay away from the floor. In performing this exercise, you can simply lie down with your face on the floor and just squeeze your glutes.</p>
<p>For the bridge, place your feet on a bench or on the floor and scoop your pelvis upward, as your rib cage should stay low to reduce any irritation to your spinal muscles. The bridge will help to relieve stress on your back and focus the muscle contractions into the glutes and the hamstrings.</p>
<p>The hip flexor stretch and the lumbar side stretch are also good exercises to alleviate lower back pain.</p>

<p>The hip flexor stretch can be done when one foot has the knee bended to an angle of ninety degrees while the other foot is lying on the floor with the toes pointing upward.
