A herniated disc happens when pressure is placed on your spine that causes the inter-vertebral discs to squeeze unevenly. This is the cause of the discs to bulge outward. Your discs are largely made up of two layers. The outer layer is sturdy and thick, the inner layer is soft and gel-like.

Back pain can be a serious problem. If you have an excruciating pain in your back that cannot be relieved by pain killers or inflammatory drugs, it could be a ’slipped’ disc. A ’slipped’ disc is a herniated or damaged and it can be serious and often will be extremely painful. Diagnosis and bulging disc treatment of this type of problem is very important as it can lead to severe symptoms.

Spinal stenosis is a condition connected with arthritis in the spine.. As folks age, if they don't look after their spinal column and aren't leading an active and healthful way of life, their spinal column can start to grow worse and problems such as spinal stenosis can begin to turn up. Spinal stenosis is a narrowing of the inter-vertebral spaces in the spine, which puts stress on the nerves that branch outward from the backbone and causes pain.

Disc herniation or herniated disc is typically the analysis of most physicians when patients encounter back and leg pain, weakness in the lower extremities, or decline of control of bowel and bladder. A herniated disc is basically a medical condition accompanied with the spinal discs, where the annulus fibrosus ruptures and the nucleus pulposus within leaks out, which may compress on nearby nerves. Disc herniation, compared to protruding disc or bulging disc, is a far more severe condition, since it can cause different health complications, like paralysis and death, specifically when the proper herniated disk treatment is not followed.

In my clinic patients who receive spinal decompression treatment for herniated discs are first treated with ultrasound to heat up the connective tissue allowing the tissue to elongate easier. Ultrasound treatment prior to spinal decompression makes the treatment more effective.

Many people suffer from Sciatic pain. What is Sciatica? Sciatica is pressure on the Sciatic nerve which is actually two nerves, the tibial and common peroneal nerve, bound together by common sheath of connective tissue. Both of these nerves form the Sciatic nerve, and they originate from L4-S3. Pressure or injury to the sciatic nerve results in sciatica. Sciatic pain can start in the back and go all the way down the buttucks, into the sides of the leg and foot.

Pain recovery from a disc bulge can be a long and painful process. It doesn’t have to be if you can take advantage of less invasive procedures. Successful Phases of pain recovery from disc bugle can be achieved through spinal decompression. Reducing the pressure placed on the discs and vertebrae can give a person their life back and they can live free from pain and the exhaustion it produces. By gently stretching the spine and easing the pressure from years of compression long-term pain relief can be achieved.

Back pain is one of the leading causes of disabilities. Most people experience it occasionally, but for many individuals this kind of pain is a chronic and debilitating condition that affects every aspect of life. For most of the 20th century there was little alternative but surgery or chiropractic treatment to relieve the pain associated with degenerative spinal disc disease, bulging discs, herniated discs, sciatica, arm pain or pinched nerves. Today, however, medical advancements on spinal decompression and back pain therapy have widened the scope of treatment choices for pain sufferers.

Months and usually even years before initial impact, the late effects of car injuries can arise. Typically, the patient seeks the advice of his doctor for say, a growing weakness in arm or leg or severe and sickening headaches. X-rays and body scans can reveal changes to the spinal column from old injury. The doctor or orthopedic specialist may announce that your neck or back is AT RISK, which means that degeneration is taking place.
