Even though I’m a chiropractor in San Diego that promotes alternative medicine, like it or not, some health crises require medication. The question is, just how safe are your prescription pills? Your physician prescribes them and they are FDA (Food and Drug Administration) approved. But are they safe? Studies show that you may not be as safe as you would like to be! No drugs – not even aspirin is 100% safe. Whether you realize it or not, whenever you take a drug, you are weighing the potential benefits against the possibility that the medicine can hurt you.

How many times have you heard doctors tell you that there is nothing we can do? They tell you that you’ve got arthritis and that there is no cure. If you haven’t heard it yourself, I bet you know a family member or friend who has. Osteoarthritis, also known as degenerative joint disease, is one of the oldest and most common types of arthritis around. It is characterized by the breakdown of the joint’s cartilage. This is the part of the joint that cushions the ends of bones. It causes the bones to rub against each other. This causes pain and loss of movement. It most commonly affects middle-aged and older people. Osteoarthritis can range from very mild to very severe. It affects hands and weight-bearing joints such as the knees, hips, feet and the back.

The actual research on osteoporosis runs contrary to everything you’re being told on television commercials. Dairy products and other animal proteins do not necessarily build strong hones. In fact, they can perhaps make your bones weaker. Make just one change in your eating behavior this month, and you could stop osteoporosis in its tracks, and possibly even overturn it!

Fibromyalgia can be a painful condition for many people who have it. Fibromyalgia can rob you of strength and motivation. In severe cases it can strip you of the will to live. A San Diego chiropractor has developed a step-by-step guide on how to eliminate the pain from fibromyalgia. There are certain things you can do in a day that can change your life. If you have children, reading this may be the most important thing you do. Two thirds of children in the United States suffer from middle ear infections. This middle ear infection is also known as otitis media. The infections usually follows a viral respiratory infection. The first symptoms are red and swollen eardrums. Then comes pain and fussiness in infants and toddlers. Sometimes fluid accumulates can in the middle ear. It can accumulate behind the eardrum where it can stay for weeks or even months. This may impair hearing.

Imagine that you were told you that the fountain of youth was discovered and all you have to do is put up forty bucks and you can have a jar of it to swallow. I’m sure you wouldn’t fall for that obvious line of baloney but you hear time and time again. And many believing people do fall for this sort of stuff. Many people act like goldfish. Not that they have fins and swim around in a fish tank or something like that, but because goldfish have an attention span of a measly three seconds. That’s right, only a measly 3 little seconds!
