Mid back pain is a kind of pain felt in the area below the neck and above the waist or lower back. The middle back is composed of 12 vertebrae which are part of the thoracic section of the spine. The middle back is naturally strong and stable. The elastic cartilages which are found between each bone serve as shock absorbers and also, there are muscles and tendons that provide stability to the back.

A car crash can cause many different injuries to your body. Some injuries seem more recurrent than others. If an injury occurs on the face or head, it will be scratches, bruises, lacerations and loss or damage to dentures. Whiplashes and disc injuries are common in the spine, in areas such as the neck, mid, and low back. Sprains, strains, dislocations, and fractures are more common in the extremities, such as the arms and legs.

Have you ever noticed that certain people with certain jobs all have similar personality’s for the most part? Like accounts, computer programmers, and so on. The same holds true for the way that certain jobs affect the spine. Computer jobs for instance create certain poor postures in the neck. I see this every day in my office as a Bellevue chiropractor! In fact it has become so common here in Bellevue WA, that I have named this type of neck a “Bellevue Neck”.

Not being in the right physical shape has more to do with your aches and pains, than does your age. It takes strength to hold your body upright all day and most people do not have that kind of endurance.
