Plantar fasciitis is a term that is used to describe the irritation of the tendon band, the plantar fascia, that runs alongside the bottom of the foot. When there are small tears or rips in this tissue, the result is discomfort and pain. This can affect standing and walking.

So you want to feel healthy, more energy, and less stiff. Then get out and walk! Walking benefits most everybody, regardless of age. About 67 million men and women are walking regularly. Convinced that it is good exercise, they’re making it a part of their daily routine. And their numbers are increasing every year, according to the President’s Council on Physical Fitness and Sports.
