If you are suffering with headaches, chances are your quality of life is being seriously affected. In our stress-filled society, tension headaches are a serious problem. This is evident especially when it comes to performing common daily tasks and engaging in our relationships with friends and family. A population study done by Duke University showed that “regular [daily] activities were limited by 38% of tension-type headache attacks” and that “89% of tension-type headache sufferers reported that their headaches had negatively affected their relationships with friends, colleagues, and family.”1

One of the challenges of fibromyalgia is that it is not well understood by the medical community. All that is known is that certain people are more at risk in developing it than others. There are various symptoms which can include widespread pain, fatigue and even disturbances to sleep. One of the biggest challenges is that there is no known cure. Did you know that Fibromyalgia affects up to 3% of the population of the United States? Fibromyalgia or FMS is a complex syndrome which is just beginning to be investigated. Very often there is discomfort and pain ranging from mild to severe. As of yet there is no cure, so only the symptoms can be treated.
