Most of us will have headaches at least once a month. Headaches are the main reason that the suppliers of over-the-counter pain reducers are so successful these days. But what causes these maladies? Even though there are nearly 150 different diagnostic categories for this malady, there are usually only three types that are most complained of. In this article, we will explore the symptoms, as well as their causes and possible treatments.

Chronic headaches are a mystery to most of us. Chiropractors regularly treat them. Why they occur seems to be the most common question. Some patients’ headaches can be easily explained but many seem to get headaches for no apparent reason. An often-overlooked cause of headaches is the spine and spinal trauma. How does this occur?

As a chiropractor in San Diego who treats many headache sufferers, you’d think that most would think there’s a shortage of aspirin in their body leading to the cause of the headache. Headaches of course aren’t the result of an aspirin shortage in the body. But the way most people treat their headache by popping pill after pill you’d think it was due to a shortage. There are, however, many safe and effective treatment options for headaches. Some of them have been around for many years, and they have absolutely nothing to do with drugs surgery.
